Sometimes a change is as good as a rest.

As you wrap up your work week what small changes can you make?

Yesterday as my husband and I were leaving the cabin we decided to take a different route home. The beauty of nature we experienced with the vibrant colours of fall was amazing. At times the sound of the river and the changing colours of the trees was breath taking.

It is so easy to get caught up in our routines and not consider the new detours or routes that will open us up to the great beauty around us with new eyes.

As you greet your week end what small changes could you consider?

Could you consider a different route on your commute home?

Perhaps a visit to a different local market to pick up delicious foods to prepare for your family.

Maybe it is getting a small group of friends together for a local wine tasting or happy hour.

Visiting your local bookstore to pick up a new book to enjoy.

Picking up the phone and speaking with a dear friend.

Checking out a new restaurant.

We all recognize the importance of rest as it helps our body recharge and assists us in connecting with others. Sometimes making a small change can bring that space to relax.
