Magnesium one of the key minerals for living your best life

I am sure you have heard about the importance of magnesium to support muscle function, assist with calcium absorption and manage stress.  Did you know that this key mineral is needed for over 300 functions in your body and most of us are deficient.  There are so many ways to incorporate more magnesium in your diet without taking supplements.

All the foods featured in the photo are rich in magnesium.

Some simple ideas to incorporate more magnesium in your daily diet is to enjoy more foods such as:  Hemp Hearts, Cacao, Cacao Nibs, Chia Seeds, Greens, Tahini, Blueberries, Quinoa, Pumpkin Seeds and Lentils.

If you are experiencing leg and feet cramps, restless leg, irritability and difficulty sleeping you may be deficient in magnesium.  At this point there has been no test to measure your levels of magnesium.  One of the best minerals to support you in managing stress is magnesium.  This beautiful mineral is so easy to incorporate in your day. Some ideas:

For breakfast enjoy blueberries with pumpkin seeds, chia seeds and hemp hearts.

Not only is this a beautiful way to start your day it is loaded with omega 3s and rich in magnesium.  All which are great for your brain.  In addition, Chia Seeds are considered a super food and extremely nutrient dense.

Another great afternoon pick me up are Chia Seeds with Cacao, Cacao Nibs, fresh berries and maple syrup.  As cacao can be a little bitter the addition of maple syrup makes this a beautiful snack to enjoy mid afternoon.

For some it is also may be important to consider supplementation.  For me, I have found from time to time supplementing with Magnesium helps with reducing leg cramps and supporting me with greater nourishing sleep.  The supplement I have found to be very health supported is the Nested Naturals Magnesium Glycinate Chelate and very gentle on the body.  This is third party tested, non-gmo, organic and a small Canadian company.

Look at some new and interesting ways you can incorporate more foods rich in magnesium each and every day.

Wishing you a beautiful day.  Be kind. Be patient.  Take good care.

Be nourished in all you do.
